LESSON 02 OF 8 · 25–30 MIN · Paid Ads & Influencer Academy

Telegram Ads: full setup guide

The official Telegram Ad Platform step by step — account, ad text, targeting by channels and interests, CPM bidding, budgets and what a first test should return.

Telegram Ads are the short sponsored messages shown at the bottom of public channels with 1,000+ subscribers. For Bynix partners they are the most natural paid channel: the ad sends people to your Telegram channel or bot, where you already know how to convert (see Telegram Academy).

Two ways in: the official self-serve platform at ads.telegram.org (available in most Bynix GEOs; the minimum deposit changes by region — check your account page, in 2026 it is reachable for small partners in most countries) or a Telegram Ads reseller / agency account which takes a 10–20% fee but gives you a manager, invoicing and local payment. Ask your affiliate manager which resellers Bynix partners already use.

  1. Create the account. Open ads.telegram.org, log in with your Telegram number, add your organisation details and top up the balance (card, TON or via reseller). Keep your Telegram username public — some GEOs require it for verification.
  2. Prepare what you advertise. Telegram Ads can send users to a public channel, a bot or (in approved accounts) an external link. Start with your channel: name with the GEO, clear avatar, pinned post with the three first steps and your Bynix link. The ad only starts the conversation; the pinned post closes it.
  3. Write the ad. Maximum 160 characters, no emojis in most regions, no hard claims. What works: a concrete, honest promise of information — "Daily 1-minute trade recaps for Kenyan traders. Deposit via M-Pesa from KSh 1,300. Join free." Prepare 3–5 variants.
  4. Target. Choose Channels (paste 20–50 trading, crypto, side-income and news channels in your language), Topics (Investments, Cryptocurrency, Business, Education) or Interests (available in newer accounts). Set the GEO and the language. One campaign per GEO — never mix Bangladesh and Brazil in one ad.
  5. Bid. Telegram Ads are sold by CPM (price per 1,000 views). Start at the platform minimum for your GEO (typically €1–€2 CPM) and raise by 10–20% only if the ad is not spending. Set a daily budget and a total budget before launching.
  6. Submit for review. Ads are moderated by Telegram and by the financial-products rules: no guaranteed returns, no bonus-only hooks, 18+ audience implied. Trading education and market recaps pass; "earn $500 a day" does not.
  7. Read the numbers daily. In the Ads dashboard: views, clicks, CTR, joins (for channel ads). In your Bynix Statistics: registrations and FTDs from the link in the pinned post (give it its own sub-ID, e.g. ?sub=tgads_ke).

Budget idea

A first test of €150–€300 per GEO over 7–10 days. At €1.5 CPM that is 100,000–200,000 views — enough to compare 3 ad texts and 2 channel lists.

Result idea

CTR 0.3–1.0%, so 300–2,000 clicks, 40–60% of clicks join the channel, 15–25% of joins register and 15–30% of registrations deposit within 14 days. On €200 that is roughly 10–40 FTDs if the pinned post and DMs are good. A clean cost per FTD for Telegram Ads is $8–$25; above $40, fix the channel before buying more views.

Agency help

If your GEO is not open on the self-serve platform, if you want invoicing in local currency, or if you plan more than €1,000 a month, write to your affiliate manager — Bynix can connect you with Telegram Ads resellers that already run partner campaigns and share the creatives that passed moderation.

Checklist — what you leave with

  • Ads account created and funded
  • Channel with pinned post and sub-ID link ready
  • 3–5 ad texts under 160 characters, no claims
  • One campaign per GEO with daily and total budget caps
